353. Medard Tytgat (1871-1948)
Brother of Edgard. Studied in Bruges and Brussels. This is an "allegory" representing Belgium in 1915.
321. Gustave Anthone (1897-1925)
He died at the age of 28 in 1925. An exhibition of 72 of his works followed. Paintings by him are rare. Gaston De Craeke and Leo Paret wrote in the catalogue.
417. Flori Van Acker (1858-1940)
Beautiful large work by the "godfather" of the Bruges school and director of the Academy.
254. Fernand Bouton (1901-1973)
Oil painting - the Meebrug. Bouton is a Belgian painter who regularly came to paint in Bruges. The work dates from 1927.
393. Joseph Leegenhoek (1923-1985)
Corneel's brother. This is the Smedenpoort in 1925; before it was blown up by the Germans in 1944.
195. Aimé Van Belleghem (1922-1996)
He painted many portraits, but also quite a few surrealist settings. He was and is a very beloved artist from Bruges, and his works are known to many collectors.
267. Roger Gobron (1899-1985)
He made exclusively watercolors. A commemorative plaque hangs on his house at 30 Dweersstraat in Bruges. His wife Marie-Jo was a poet.
228. Charles Verbrugghe (1877-1974)
An oil painting by "the Parisian" - Ventimiglia in Italy.
219. Florimond Aerts (1877-1934)
He studied at the academies of Bruges and Brussels and also taught at the Bruges academy, including René De Pauw, José Storie, and Gustave Anthone. This sanguine dates from 1918.
28. Richard Leutenez (1884-1960)
The famous Meebrug, together with the Peerdebrug the oldest stone bridge in Bruges. Painted in 1930 from the Groene Rei.
414. André Vlaanderen (1881-1955)
A Dutchman who moved to Bruges to bear his surname. A true "graphic artist," as these works prove. His works are not easy to find. He integrated easily into the Bruges scene.
244. Louis Reckelbus (1864-1958)
Pastel - interior of his house (Westmeers 86) which he crammed with old artifacts. He was curator of the Bruges museums.
249. Unprecedented
An intriguing, beautiful, and old piece; very finely painted. Hand-drawn but unprecedented. Fits on any wall.
258. SOLD: Alfons Blomme (1889-1979)
Oil painting "A Farm". In 1933, he met Albert Einstein and painted him. His style was called "Blomism".
395. Leo Van der Smissen (1900-1966)
A large-format oil painting of De Dijver in winter.
261. Jules Fonteyne (1887-1964)
Daughter of Julie, well known for her ballerinas. Founded the art circle "Iris" together with her father. Sadly died young after a long illness.
16. Walter Jonckheere (1924-1999)
Beautiful, atmospheric autumn scene at the Arentshof (Arents family). He was a police officer in Sint-Kruis and was therefore well known among the people of Bruges.
401. HV Wolvens (1896-1977)
Beautiful, intriguing work by Wolvens. Wolvens lived at Meerstraat 52, where a plaque hangs to remind passersby.
152. RE Dupuis
A monumental and large work (oil painting) of the Groene Rei with the white pavilion. Large with an imposing frame.
310. Jozef Middeleer (1865-1939)
In 1904, he moved to Daverlostraat in Assebroek. He received the second prize in Rome in 1886.
398. Charles Poupaert (1874-1935)
Market on the Market Square beneath the Halletoren. Reminiscent of works by Flori Van Acker.

The Beguines are on their way to "lauds" on a misty, mystical morning.
485. Marguerite Aers (1918-1995)
Oil painting "la folle nuit des catherinettes." - women under 25 who are still single.
271. Fernand Coevoet (1910-1992)
Oil paint / still life. He painted through his mouth after an illness at the age of nine.
294. Georges De Sloovere (1873-1970)
Georges was a fan of trees. He painted quite a few, but this one is very impressionistic. Cheerful and colorful to brighten up the room.
438. Arthur Vrielynck (1877-1918)
Works by him, often watercolors, are rare. He tragically lost his life after a bombing while painting at the Zuidervaartje in 1918.
239. Jo Verhenneman (1918-1997)
Oil paint / still life. He was from Moen and settled in Bruges.
444. Florimond Aerts (1877-1934)
He was an important Bruges painter and also taught at the academy. He was known for his portraits.
463. Leon De Koninck (1916-1955)
He created beautiful expressionist paintings with tall trees as protagonists. A very powerful brushstroke. He co-founded "Kring 46". As a hairdresser at the hospital, he contracted tuberculosis and died at the age of 39. His daughter Betty was also a painter.
399. Charles Verbrugghe (1877-1974)
A street in Menton, France. Charles loved those exotic places with an arch in the street and the sun casting shadows. Beautiful work!
193. Walter Jonckheere (1924-1999)
A still life by Walter Jonckheere. An important painter of the last generation. We have other works by him for sale in the collection.
421. Felix Charles Constant (1865-1924)
The Halletoren from the Steenstraat – you can still go look for the right house. As a native of Brussels, he fell in love with Bruges after a visit in 1902 to an exhibition on the Flemish Primitives and continued to live there until his death.
196. Jef Van de Fackere (1879-1946)
He was an important teacher at the academy and a very fine painter. Nice frame and behind glass.
38. August Costenoble (1894-1976)
He lived on Moenstraat and made quite a few paintings, mainly views of Bruges.
472. Gilbert Swimberghe (1927-2015)
Work in an edition of 200 copies in his well-known style. One of the few of the Bruges School whom we can call modern. Avant-garde and geometric abstraction.
86. Jozef Middeleer (1865-1939)
His works are rare but of high quality. This work has a monumental setting. He fetches high prices at auctions.
377. Charles Verbrugghe (1877-1974)
We have various small works in the collection on panel or canvas featuring lovely landscapes, but also vases with flowers in many colors that could not possibly have existed. Ask about them...
290. Gaston Oorlynck (1909-1989)
He received his training at the Bruges Art Academy and later became a teacher himself at the academy in Ostend. There is work by him in Mu.ZEE in Ostend. This is an oil painting of Den Dijver.
471. Rik Slabbinck (1914-1991)
Beautiful lithograph of his well-known work. In the morning, he went to his little table, placed some random objects on it, and set to work. Many colors.
486. Louis Reckelbus (1864-1958)
Westmeers 86, where he lived. A painting from 1929.
277. Guillaume Michiels (1909-1997)
A master of still lifes. This work draws attention and you never tire of looking at it.
402. Edouard Rombaux (1899-1987)
A little Bruges bridge by a non-Bruges native: the Peerdenbrug.
55. Marguerite Aers (1918-1995)
The Golden Handrei – a work from the beginning of her painting career when she still painted views of Bruges.

A large original poster (without frame) by Flori Van Acker of the vegetable market - Rozenhoedkaai.
266. René Clarot (1882-1972)
A sparsely painted corner in Bruges, overlooking the Sint-Salvator Cathedral. René Clarot often came to paint in Bruges.
355. SOLD: Christien Fonteyne-Poupaert (1897-1968)
She is the daughter of Charles Poupaert. She painted mainly flower arrangements and still lifes – just like Charles, in pastel. She was taught by Jef Van de Fackere and Florimond Aerts.
427. Leo Van der Smissen (1900-1966)
The Mee Bridge (no frame). Hopefully they don't fall into the canals.
368. Corneel Leegenhoek (1903-1971)
This is his wife Marie-Henriette Mus, daughter of the sculptor Leon Mus. The painting was found in the attic. It dates from 1927 and is large in size.
315. SOLD: Joseph Neutens (1874-1965)
Joseph was a member of various art circles (Kring46) and was also a member of the "Mafia" - a group of intellectuals around Achiel Van Acker.
407. Julien Fagel (1881-1937)
