Brother of Edgard. Studied in Bruges and Brussels. This is an "allegory" representing Belgium in 1915.

He died at the age of 28 in 1925. An exhibition of 72 of his works followed. Paintings by him are rare. Gaston De Craeke and Leo Paret wrote in the catalogue.

463. Leon De Koninck (1916-1955)

He created beautiful expressionist paintings with tall trees as protagonists. A very powerful brushstroke. He co-founded "Kring 46". As a hairdresser at the hospital, he contracted tuberculosis and died at the age of 39. His daughter Betty was also a painter.

421. Felix Charles Constant (1865-1924)

The Halletoren from the Steenstraat – you can still go look for the right house. As a native of Brussels, he fell in love with Bruges after a visit in 1902 to an exhibition on the Flemish Primitives and continued to live there until his death.
